What to Bring: A selection of 35mm or Large Format pre developed negatives. Digital images can also be used by printing onto acetate in advance

What’s included: All wet chemicals, along with 5 sheets of Glossy or Pearl Paper. Additional sheets can be purchased

In this refresher course you will be shown the basics of the entire process, including developing film, making a contact sheet, creating your own black and white prints and safe use of chemicals.

Film drying takes up to 2 hours which is why you need to bring your own pre-developed negatives to print from. But, you can bring undeveloped negatives to develop for use at a later date.

Alternative photographic printing methods will be discussed as well as troubleshooting. Printing mishaps and mistakes are encouraged to learn something new!

The course will cover:

→ Instructions on how to develop 35mm and Large Format film

→ Mix all necessary chemicals

→ How to use an enlarger

→ Make contact prints

→ Printing and drying prints

→ Troubleshooting and discussion

About Alice Campos: Alice Campos is a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in Alternative Analogue Photography. Predominantly using Cameraless Photographic Techniques and traditional Black and White Analogue Photography her practice examines the Sustainability of Photography, and considers how this can be translated into the Darkroom. Alice has a broad experience lending knowledge within Art Psychotherapy workshops with the BAAT, A-Level Photographic Workshops, creative play workshops at The South London Gallery and extensive knowledge of facilitation and operations as her role as an Operations Supervisor.
