What to Bring: Bring along a notebook and any source material you’d like to work from. Wear old clothes as you may get inky

This course will give you a basic introduction into this process of printmaking and allow you to start your screen-printing journey. You’ll be shown how to print onto paper using water-based inks with a vacuum table and also with simple clamps. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience who may need a refresher.

The course will cover:

→ Introduction to screen printing basics

→ Preparing and coating a screen with photo emulsion

→ Exposing a screen using a UV exposure unit

→ Mixing water-based inks

→ How to register and print

About Alexandra Hobson: Alexandra is a London based artist and educator whose screen prints, developed through mark making and photography work and rework multiple layers of colour and texture. Alexandra has extensive teaching experience within schools, further & higher education, as well as teaching workshops to a range of corporate clients. She currently teaches screen-print here and at Sonsoles Print Studio.

Cancellations and Refunds: If you cancel 7 days or more before the course begins, we will provide a full refund minus a £10 admin fee. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date of the course no refund will be given.

All our courses run on a minimum number of participants. If we do not reach the minimum number of participants for the course we unfortunately have to cancel. We will notify you 7 days before the start date and you will receive a full refund or we can transfer over to another date.

Participants must be over the age of 18.
