Series of 3 prints - Rust and Ink on Paper, 750 x 520 mm, 2020.

This series of prints was made during the first lockdown. The prints explore the unknown and intangible as the pandemic expanded, invisible and silent, casting mysterious shadows over people’s lives. The process of making the prints with metal dust and wearing a mask reflected the toxicity of the virus and the fear of breathing in something dangerous that was out of our control. As the ink and rust was left to be absorbed, the process again mirrored an unknown and uncertain outcome.
