Summer Holidays Art Workshops

We partner with Young Greenwich to offer free art workshops to young people based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Date: 20 July and 27 July 2026 (10:30 am - 12:30 pm)

Age: 12 - 14

Participants can take part in either workshop individually or attend both sessions.

Art Hub invites young people to step inside its studio building, where artists develop and make their work. Led by artists who work in the studios, workshop participants will uncover the details of the building and respond to its spaces and surroundings through a range of creative activities such as sketching, drawing, poetry, and graphite rubbings. They will discover interesting textures, patterns, and hidden details, using their imagination to create visual records and written responses inspired by their surroundings.

In the second workshop, participants will use their sketches, marks, and patterns as inspiration to create their own unique ceramic tile design. They will experiment with shapes, textures, and patterns, transforming their ideas into a finished tile*. Those joining only the second workshop will also be supported to develop their own ideas to create a unique design.

*The tiles will then be fired in the Art Hub pottery studio and will be ready for participants to collect at a later date.
