Who We Are.

Art Hub Studios CIC is a non-profit Community Interest Company. Based in South East London since 1999, we’re committed to supporting artists at every stage of their career. Through our studios, facilities, gallery, and outreach programme, our aim is to create and safeguard space and opportunities for artists and communities across South East London and beyond.

Our core focus is to provide affordable studio space and access to specialist fine art facilities, including printmaking, ceramics, carpentry, and a darkroom for our artist members across two sites in Deptford and Woolwich.

Through our studios, public programmes, and our educational work our aim is to promote the value of art in supporting wellbeing, education, and personal development from childhood into adulthood. We welcome artists from all backgrounds and at all stages of their career, with no portfolio required to join.

We’re committed to making our spaces as accessible and supportive as possible, offering low, all-inclusive rents, 24/7 access, free use of facilities, discounted materials and courses, and reduced rates for gallery hire.

→ Facilities
We’re the only all-inclusive provider of studio and fine art facilities in London. Based at our Woolwich site, members have access to professional-grade Printmaking, Ceramics, Carpentry, and Darkroom facilities, all included at no extra cost.

→ Studio members
We have over 300 studio members located across our two sites in Deptford and Woolwich. We create opportunities for our members to link with each other and the public through our facilities, members events, courses, exhibitions, outreach and open studios.

→ Gallery
Our Gallery is a reimagined school gymnasium available to hire with reduced rates for students, recent graduate, local resident, Charity / Non-Profit organisations. Located on the ground floor of our new location on the edge of New Cross and Deptford.

→ Opportunities
We run an outreach programme and artist support programme that works closely with artists and young people across South East London.

History

Art Hub Studios was founded in 1999 by Deb and Adrian as a framing business based in what is now Fuel Tank on Creekside, Deptford. Running the studios and framing in parallel is what began our studios and facilities offering. Over the years we have evolved as an organisation in order to meet new challenges from the development of the local area and changes in artist needs. In 2014 we became a Community Interest Company with affordable, all-inclusive studios at the centre of what we do. We are run by a small team of artists all based in the surrounding areas.

Connections

→ Young Greenwich
We deliver a programme of art workshops to young people based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in partnership with Charlton Athletic Community Trust as part of the Young Greenwich Programme.

→ London’s Affordable Artists Studio Network (LAASN)
We are part of LAASN who collectively support 1 in 3 artists in London.
