What to Bring: Bring a notebook and any source material you’d like to work from. You may wish to wear clothes suitable for light workshop use and closed-toe shoes.

Working with copper, a beautiful, warm metal that’s easy to shape and texture, you’ll learn how to measure, cut, form, hammer, and polish your own cigar band ring or cuff.

You’ll be guided step-by-step by award-winning jeweller Sophie Martin-Glinel, who will share professional tips from her own bench practice at Art Hub Studios. Using hand tools and traditional silversmithing techniques, you’ll discover how satisfying it is to transform raw metal into wearable art.

The course will cover:

→ Measuring and cutting copper to size

→ Using a jeweller’s saw safely and confidently

→ Shaping the band using mandrels and hammers

→ Texturing and finishing techniques

→ Smoothing and polishing edges

→ Optional personalisation and care tips

All our courses run on a minimum number of participants. If we do not reach the minimum number of participants for the course we unfortunately have to cancel. We will notify you 7 days before the start date and you will receive a full refund or we can transfer over to another date.
